Brief History

 
Year Contents
March 1967 - The Department of Electrical Engineering is established.
March 1969 - The Department of Electronic Engineering is established.
March 1984 - The Department of Electronic Engineering is renamed as the Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
January 1991 - The Department of Microwave Engineering is established. The Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering is renamed as the Department of Electronic Engineering.
March 1996 - The Departments of Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, and Microwave Engineering merged into the School of Electrical, Electronic, and Microwave Engineering.
September 2002 - The School of Electrical, Electronic, and Microwave Engineering are divided into separate majors, the Department of Electrical Engineering and the Department of Electronic Engineering. The Department of Microwave Engineering is assigned as a major in a separate college, the College of Information and Communications.
November 2005 - Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, and Microwave Engineering majors merged into the School of Electrical Engineering.
March 2006 - The School of Electrical Engineering is renamed as the School of Electrical, Electronic, and Microwave Engineering.
March 2014 - The School of Electrical, Electronic, and Microwave Engineering is renamed as the School of Electrical Engineering.
